Cactus A-L | Cactus M-Z | Succulents A-C | Succulents D-H | Succulents I-Z | Tillandsias | Other Unusual Plants

Tillandsias require a bright, airy position, preferably outdoors, but certain indoor positions can be appropriate. Most Tillandsias are grown epiphytically, mounted on a branch or rock. Some Tillandsias (e.g. cyanea, punctulata) are grown in a potting media similar to that used for orchids. Water Tillandsias by misting with a spray bottle, or lightly spraying with a hose frequently in summer (several times a week) and less often in winter (once a fortnight, or much less, especially if indoors).
